A native of Slayton, MN, Dr. Schaap completed her undergraduate work and received her medical doctorate from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Schaap completed her internship at various hospitals in Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN, and her general surgery and orthopaedic surgical residencies at University of Minnesota. She continues taking advanced post-graduate courses and seminars.
